The Santa Teresa Bands have recieved several
superior performance awards in a variety of
categories at festivals throughout the state of
California. The marching band won first place and
all captions at the Emerald Regime Classic last
season. All three Santa Teresa Concert Bands
recieved a rating of Superior at the CMEA festivals
last year. The award winning Jazz Band finished
third place at the 2005 Reno Jazz Festival and the
winter percussion ensemble finished in the top 5 at
the WGI Fresno Regional Competition. The Santa
Teresa Band Program is recoginzed as one of the
fastest growing band programs in the Silicon
Valley.

competitions annually in addition to local
community functions and all home football games.
The Music Department offers a major touring
experience to students once every 3-4 years and has
traveled most recently to Austria, Switzerland and
Germany for international festivals during the
summer of 2003. During the summer of 2006, the SHS
Music Department will travel "down under" to
Australia for a major youth music festival at the
Sydney Opera House.

year's Logan Field Show featured the artistry and
talents of 24 of the finest bands from Northern and
Central California. This was the last show before
the WBA Championships and all the bands were in top
form.
