BANQUET
Our year end Awards Banquet will be on Friday,
June 16th, at 6:00 PM, in the Logan Pavilion.
Dinner will be provided by Banchero's Italian Restaurant in
Hayward and will include salad, bread, spaghetti, dessert,
and soft drink. TICKETS ARE REQUIRED. The deadline for
tickets is Tuesday, June 6th. Adults - $20.00,
Students/Children - $12.00. Printout

Logan World Guard Wins World
Championships, AGAIN!!!
Yes, it's true. For the 9th consecutive time the
James Logan World Class Winter Guard has won the
Gold Medal at the Winter Guard International World
Championships held in Dayton Ohio. The students
performed to a packed crowd in the Dayton Arena! They had
stiff competition but in the end they came off the floor
undefeated.
Congratulations to the students, staff and to our
supportive Band & Color Guard Boosters!

Aguilar for heading logistics of the program. We really
appreciate all your work! Couldn't do it without
you!!
Special thanks go to Mark Metzger who took
over as Director and Choreographer. He did an amazing job
and we want to thank him for all that he
does!!!

THANKS FOR THE GREAT FIELD
SHOW!
A very big thank you to everyone who helped
make the "Logan Field Show" a huge
success!
I have received nothing but praise from my band
director colleagues. They want me to pass on how
professional and fantastic the band booster volunteers
were.
I hope to see many of you at Long Beach supporting
our kids at the Western States Marching Band
Championships.

Returning Band
Uniforms
Please (except for Percussion students) return your
cleaned marching band uniform to the Band room by the end of
February. (The uniform includes: jacket & pants in its
bag, and shako in its box.) When you return the clean
uniform, the students account will be credited $10. If
you need washing instructions, click
here.
Also, when returning uniforms, please DO NOT include
your shoes, socks, gloves, miscellaneous clothing, or any
other items in the uniform bag or shako box. We do not have
room to store these items in the uniform storage
rooms.
Students: If you have left your uniform on the Band
room rack by mistake, please contact me as soon as
possible.

Update on Student Account
Billing
In order to proactively inform parents of upcoming
payments due, the Executive Board has decided to post fees
on the Student Acct Statement a month ahead of the due date.
Thank you for your understanding.
We Always Need
Volunteers!
Our program cannot function successfully without the
support and involvement of the booster members. We are
fortunate to have many dedicated parents who have given
their time to help support our Band & Guard, but we
still need to encourage more participation. If you can give
at least a few hours of your time as a volunteer, we welcome
you. Our kids are depending in you!
Here are some of the areas where volunteers are
needed:
- Chaperoning - Travel with the students at
least one trip during the year.
- Sewing - Help cut or sew color guard
flags.
- Food - Food shopping, preparation and feeding
our hungry kids.
- Uniform Fitting/Distribution - Help organize
the band/guard uniform distribution
- Props - Build-create props (small only) for
marching and winter season
- Pit Crew - Responsible for the pit instruments
on and off the field.
- Fundraising - Take charge or assist in various
fundraising programs.
- Volunteer at the Annual Events - Logan Field
Show (November) and WGI Guard/Percussion (March)
- Souvenir Programs - Preparation and printing
of our shows' programs.
- Program Ads - Helping to sell ads for our
souvenir programs to raise money.
- Company Sponsorship - Donating items to the
Band & Guard (food, supplies, materials, tools,
etc.)

The
Logan Band & Color Guard Boosters is
the official volunteer organization supporting the
James Logan High School Band and Color Guard
program. Our purpose is to provide management,
funding and support through volunteer
participation, fundraising and other activities
throughout the year. Parents with kids in the band
or color guard are automatically Logan Boosters.
Supporting a world class program takes LOTS of
volunteers! Stay tuned to this page for updated
information on how you can help. Our kids are
depending on you! Please feel free to contact any
of our board members with any questions, comments
