Upcoming Mount Tam Hike on Saturday, Feb 13 - SIGN UP!!

Hey troop 110!

Here's an opportunity to stay fit, enjoy splendid views, and notch up another 10-miler for your Hiking merit badge! This hike would also qualify for First and Second class requirements.

On Saturday, February 13, our troop is planning a hike up Mt. Tamalpais. This is a Rim Rover hike, so you will be earning a rocker to add to, or start, your collection. 8.5 miles round trip is all it takes!

Who: Troop 110 scouts and adults
Where: Mt. Tamalpais
When: Saturday February 13, 2016; leaving St. Anne's church at 7a.m., returning to the church at approximately 5p.m.
What to bring: your 10 essentials, 2 liters of water, good shoes, raincoat, hat, sunscreen, Class A shirt (for the trip), layered clothing for the hike, a good sack lunch, trail snacks, hiking poles, a signed T110 Permission Slip. And... ENTHUSIASM!

See the attached file for more details. Use the attached permission slip to get your parent's signature. Refer to the attached map to understand where you will be going.

Sign up now! Adults! (We need 2 adults to make this happen) Scouts! John M. will be at the meetings with a sign-up sheet.

We will continuously track the weather and hope that it is great for a hike up this spectacular site on February 13!!!

I will see you at 7a.m. on Saturday, February 13 AT THE St. ANNE's CHURCH parking lot! Let's do this!

Hello Troop 110 scouts and parents:

For the scouts interested in developing leadership skills, NYLT has just opened the registration site for 2016. They will be sending out additional mailers on this but are letting us know that registration has now started.

This year NYLT is again offering two sessions at Rancho Los Mochos. Session 1 starts on MONDAY, June 13 and concludes Saturday evening, June 18. The second session starts on SUNDAY, June 19 and concludes on Saturday, June 25, about noon. Fees this year are $335 with a $25 discount given until April 30

For more detailed information, please visit:

Scouts interested in moving to senior leadership positions are strongly encouraged to attend NYLT training. I have noted that the SFBAC has one of the best programs for Youth Leader training, this course is a great skill set to have for your personal development.

Open Troop Positions

Good-afternoon Troop110 parents,

Below is a list of positions and a brief description of "jobs" that are currently open. Please read thru and let me know which position you would be interested in filling to ensure the success of all our scouts.

The boys success is dependent on the adults around them to have the knowledge and to supply the support they
need to meet and exceed there expectations in scouting and in life. Plus all and any helping hands are greatly appreciated!!

Kind Regards,

Desiree Moreno
