Holiday Party Information - December 19th

Greetings Troop 110,

The Troop 110 Holiday Party for 2014 will be held on this Friday December 19th at Kennedy Elementary School in Newark located at 35430 Blackburn Dr.

This year there will be returning events, such as bingo, the pudding eating contest, the donation to Toys for Tots, and skits and songs performed by each patrol, but we will have some changed events as well, like a new, silly-style gift exchange. Scouts that want to participate in the gift exchange should bring their wrapped gift with a price limit of $15.

The dinner will be potluck-style as usual. People should start to arrive at Kennedy around 6:00, and dinner will start at 6:30.

The Dark Spawns and Senior Patrol #1, please come to set up at 5:00.

I recognize that this is extremely late notice, but we would like each patrol to have 1 skit or song ready and, if possible, practiced. The skit or song should not be too overused (for example Beans or 3 Blind Jellyfish), but it can be a skit or song used before, although original skits or songs would be greatly appreciated. Viraj and I will try to contact as many patrol leaders as possible in the beginning of this week so that we can help patrols get together in individual patrol meetings to decide on and practice their skits or songs.

As a reminder, the Troop band for the Holiday Party should have their performance ready, which is scheduled to last about 10 to 15 minutes.

The food assignment is as follows:

- Last Names A-I: Desserts
- Last Names J-Q: Side Dishes
- Last Names R-Z: Main Courses

Each person should bring food to feed 10 people.

Anyone can bring presents to be donated to Toys for Tots.

Hope to see all of you there!

Aaron K and Viraj K
