Just a few reminders about this upcoming meet.

WARM UPS begin at 7:30am
MEET begins at 8:30am
THEME Crazy Hats

Please remember to bring lots of water and snacks as it is supposed to be HOT. Also remember to bring lots of sun screen, we don't want to see anyone getting burnt.

Let's remember to have fun and swim fast. Let's remember to have strong kicks, as we have been working on that in practice a lot this week. I know we may be tired, but let's push through it and finish our races out hard.

I want to wish everyone GOOD LUCK and let's remember to SWIM FAST. I wish I could be there to cheer you on in person but know that I'm cheering you on in my heart. I want to hear all about how much time you dropped when I talk to Coach Eric and when I see the results! And last but not least, let's bring home our FIRST WIN! I wish you all the best, and wish I could be there!

STICKER BINDERS

ALL Parents of 10-Under Swimmers:

We know we are a little late since we are done with our second swim meet already, but it isn't too late to start. I have 2 binders (one pink for girls, and one blue for boys). Each binder has a best time sticker chart for all 10-Under Swimmers. They are seperated by age group then by name alphebitically. I will put these binders out on the ping-pong table everyday (Monday-Friday). Attached to each child's sheet will be a number of how many best times they got at the last meet. It is your child's job to put a sticker for every best time that they got at the previous meet(s) onto their chart. Once a child has completed a row (or 5 best times), they will bring me their chart and they will be able to choose a toy from the bin. I will then take them home every Friday and update for those kids that didn't update theirs. Please be sure to inform your child of this new incentive. We believe it will really begin to get the children thinking about their swimming and thinking about improving their times. If you have any questions about this please let me know. I will be putting the binders out on Monday, so let's be sure to have the kids go check it out and put those stickers on.

Thank you so much

Is everyone ready for another EARLY MORNING?!?!?!?

WARM UPS BEGIN: AT 7AM
MEET BEGINS: 8AM.
THEME: HALLOWEEN
(We want to see everyone in their best costumes)

Just a few reminders about the meet this Saturday against Chabot. This meet will be held at Chabot Swim Club, located in Castro Valley. A few important facts about this locations. The parking lot is small and will fill up quickly, it is a very narrow entrance way (supposed to be 2 ways, but according to their Coach it is still pretty narrow). There is additional parking on the street and also across the road at the Community Park (located about 1 block away). Their coach suggests dropping things off then parking. This is only a 5 lane pool, so things will go a little slower than last week, but still move relatively fast. Our place at the pool is next to the diving board.

VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER: We have to remember that we are not allowed to wear any jewelry during the meet, if you are unable to take out a piercing, please have it taped. Just covering it with a cap won't work! Also, remember we are only allowed to wear our TEAM CAP (the SG one), or a SOLID COLOR. You will be getting DQed if you are caught wearing any other cap. Let's be sure to get in the habit of following these rules now, so when Champs comes around it is engraved in our head.

We did a very good job last week, and both Coach Eric and I are very proud of how everyone swam. There is definitely some things that we need to still work on, but for the first meet we did extremely well. Let's be sure that we are getting to our races on time and paying attention to what heat we are on. We had WAY to many missed races last week, and that is something that should not be happening, especially with the older kids!

BIG FISH, you have been doing a great job helping out your little fish. Keep up the great work! We have also seen numerous middle fish helping as well. Let's keep the encouragement up and continue to be there to support one another.

Lastly, let's all remember to HAVE FUN, and SWIM FAST!

GOOD LUCK!
GO PENGUINS

Just a few reminders about the meet this upcoming Saturday May 31st, 2008. Remember Warm Ups begin at 7am, and the meet begins at 8am. This is different than most other meets, please be sure to be there no later than 7am, to ensure your child is able to warm up. Remember the theme for this meet is PAJAMAS (this should be helpful since we have to be up so early. No one has to change from bed, so we shouldn't be late!!! : ) : ) : ) Let's all get in the spirit and dress to impress!

This is a 6 lane pool, so the meet will run a little quicker than normal. Please be sure to have your children where they need to be ahead of time. This will help make our job as coaches easier. The little kids staging area will be on the shallow end of the pool, please be sure to have your kids there at least 3 events prior. As for the older kids be sure they get their card at least 3 events prior. It is not the job of the Card Persons to find your child!

There is a lot of construction on the freeway so be sure to read the signs. I just drove out there tonight and there are two exits that you can take be sure you take the SECOND ONE (MISSION BLVD) This is if you are coming on 880. This will take you up and over the freeway. From there, it is just as the directions say. I know many may know this but wanted to give you all the heads up before you head out there in the morning.

There is a huge grass area in the back of the pool, this is where we will be sitting, so be sure to set up camp back there. It looks as though there is plenty of room for us all. Please be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks as well as sunscreen, towels and extra clothes. It is supposed to be in the 80's this weekend, so we need to make sure that everyone is staying cool.

Last but not least let's remember to HAVE FUN and SWIM FAST! This is the first REAL meet for many of our swimmers, let's be sure to encourage each and everyone of them! I know we are looking forward to watching the kids compete against another team, and can't wait to see how well they all do. I hope everyone is as excited as we are.

GOOD LUCK!!!!
GO PENGUINS!!!

Just a Reminder

Just a reminder to be sure that you are picking up after yourselves and your kids every night before you leave the pool after practices. Also if you could please remember to put all borrowed items back where you borrowed them from, it would be greatly appreciated as Club Members are coming in on the weekends, and we need to leave the Club as clean as we found it.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
